General Commissioning Process —

Landscapes Only

Step 1 : Fill out contact form. We’ll start to talk about the potential project to see if I feel I can fulfill expectations and within time period needed (paintings in oil need a varying minimum drying times before they can be varnished, framed, shipped or delivered)

General quote of prices for past projects - pricing structure.

Step 2: We get to particulars: The size of painting, style, color harmonies, and many more questions which will probably involve sending ideas back and forth, and most often a small study (thumbnail of the large project) to concretize what final project will be. Quote on Expected Price Range (without Framing or Shipping)

Step 3: If the project is a GO, Payment of a deposit (normally 10 - 20% of estimated cost.)

Step 4: The painting begins with regular updates to client to make sure we are on target.

Step 5: After accepting the final product — the painting is done — Half of the Remainder is Due

Step 6: Waiting period for paint to be dry enough to put  on temporary varnish, at the minimum.

Step 7: Any add on Costs? Framing , Shipping Estimate (if not local) Waiting for time to apply final varnish

If a local sale, the painting can be picked up/delivered after the temporary varnish is dry to allow the curing process happening in the client’s home with painting hanging on wall “temporarily/loosely” framed. Then the painting can be returned for final varnish by the artist at no charge. Or the client can have the final varnish added by a local professional at their own cost.

Step 8: Final payment is due when painting is picked up or shipped.
